Sisters Debra Dana and Amber McGraw reopened Twisted Sister Juice Bar and Indoor Farmers Market at the Huts Development on Highway 321 near Heritage Middle and High schools in February, where they offer healthy, organic juices, protein bowls, gelato and coffee.
“We’re actually doing better here than we were doing before we left the store over next to Target,” Debra said.
Originally, they planned to continue the health services theme by opening a CBD shop. However, recent changes to Tennessee law preventing the sale of many CBD products caused them to change course.
Instead, Dana said, they started reaching out to local food and crafts vendors to utilize the rear portion of the quonset hut for an indoor farmers market space.
This is part of a larger vision for the Huts Development, where there’s potential to create synergy for a health-themed group of businesses, said Kerri Kor, a commercial real estate agent with LeConte Realty.
“There are three spaces available for rent right now,” Kor said. “Ideally, if we could keep it in the health and wellness arena, that’s something that’s very interesting to the owner of the property.”
Dana and McGraw publish their menu and hours of operation at TwistedSisterJuiceBar.com.
